Wythall Theatre Company was formed in 1958 and ran for 60 wonderful years. WTC performed a range of productions including; plays, comedies, musicals and thrillers in a variety of different venues; theatres, studios, schools and pub theatres to critical acclaim.
WTC had a very special place in my heart, having been very heavily involved with them since i was 13 years old. I supported WTC with all things technical and played many stage management roles during my 10 years with them. Highlights include: Seasons Greetings, Dads Army, Vicar of Dibley, Nobody's Perfect, Gym and Tonic, Boeing Boeing, It runs in the Family, Murdered to Death - the list is endless!
There were many members of WTC who I grew very fond of and became role models in my creative life. Some of those people who supported me through my skills building, my experience and my professional development. Those people who have performed with Dynamik since the closure of WTC.
When WTC sadly announced the closure of the company in early 2019 they very kindly made a very generous donation to Dynamik. We received a lump sum of money from the company as well as taking on the storage / workshop units at Wythall Park (including all of the contents). This valuable donation gave us the ability to grow into the company we are today.
I would like to thank every member of WTC who's path i have crossed for your kindness, support and being a special part of my life for such a long time.
We will always honour the ethos and family friendly approach that shone through WTC and hope to have many of their members involved with us for years to come.
Member profiles, production information and photos and a trip down memory lane can be found on the WTC website:
I would like to personally thank certain members of WTC for their support, dedication and guidance.
Without these people Dynamik wouldn't be what it is today.
